Minutes of the Inaugural Council Meeting of the Rural Municipality of Mountain held Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 in the R.M. of Mountain Council Chambers in Birch River, Manitoba.

CAO Paige Larocque was present and acted as secretary.
Finance Officer Kim Paterson was also present.

The meeting was called to order at 10:00 A.M. by Reeve Robert Hanson, quorum being present.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby appoint Stephen Nadolney as Deputy Reeve.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby appoint Connie Forbes as Finance Chair.

WHEREAS By-Law No. 08/06 designates signing authority as follows:
SIGNING AUTHORITY
8.0 Agreements and cheques and other negotiable instruments must be signed or and authorized by
a. the Head of Council, or in the absence of the Head of Council, the Deputy Reeve, and
b. the Chief Administrative Officer or, in the absence of the Chief Administrative Officer, the Finance Officer.
AND WHEREAS Swan Valley Credit Union requires a Resolution of Council designating signing authority;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby designate signing authority as follows:
REEVE – Robert Hanson
DEPUTY REEVE – Stephen Nadolney
CAO – Paige Larocque
FINANCE OFFICER – Kim Paterson

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby appoint Robert Hanson to the LUD of Mafeking Committee.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby approve work orders #111/18 to #120/18 attached hereto.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby approve the Drainage Licences as per Schedule ‘A’ attached hereto.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Regular Meeting of Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain be adjourned to meet again on November 8th, 2018.
