On November 8, 2017 about 180 grade 5 and 6 students heard these words as they gathered to place Canadian Flags and Poppies at the headstones of our Veterans buried in Birchwood Cemetery.
The ceremony was part of “No Stone Left Alone”, a Nationwide initiative to honour our fallen military and to educate students of the sacrifice of our veterans by placing poppies at their headstones every November.
