It was a day that started out to be a bit gloomy and rain was highly suspected, but as the day progressed it turned out to be a great day for Cowan. As the sunshine arrived so did the visitors to town looking for a hearty feast.

Sunday, April 30th, 2017, this was the place to be if you were searching for a buffet table full of numerous salad choices, turkey, ham, perogies, cabbage rolls and more. After the main buffet table, a wide selection of delicious homemade desserts were also available and included lots of pies and cheesecakes. Like all good-old-fashion community suppers, I am certain that there was something for everyone and no one went home hungry.
Judging by the line-up that went around in the hall, it appeared this was a welcomed feast. Judging by the chatter the filed the hall from 5 to 7pm, it appeared to provide good opportunities to talk with friends and neighbors.
Thank you to all who supported our supper event by attending and to those who organized, donated and helped prepare the meal – it was a great success. It is good to see that community spirit is still alive in our beautiful valley.
See you all again – maybe at Cowan Trail or Fall Supper.
