Dialysis patients and supporting health care providers will rest a little easier thanks to the donation of three new dialysis chairs by the Bowsman, Minitonas and Swan River Lions Clubs on April 6, 2017.

The total cost of the three chairs was $18,052.21 with the cost shared evenly between the three clubs. The new chairs are electronic allowing patients to adjust the chair position themselves during treatment and eliminating the necessity for staff to lift the patients out of the chairs.

The Dialysis Department currently operates 4 chairs, leaving one of the older manual chairs still in operation.
