Flower & Harvest Festival

An open Flower & Harvest Festival is being held over the second week-end of September this year.

The idea is to fill the Sanctuary, Foyer and Lower Hall with Floral, Fruit and Vegetable Displays, according to themes. A selection of themes will be prepared for those who wish to choose from them or others may choose their own theme from a Hymn, a Psalm, a Scripture verse or related theme, which brings glory to God.

We are encouraging wide participation – ALL are invited to share in this event! A Flower & Harvest Festival is not only for floral artists! (We shall appreciate their artistic and creative skills immensely but each and every person can prayerfully create something for the gallery!) Even one flower in a vase can say something meaningful!

Friday, September 9, 2016
10:00am to 5:00pm
Setting up the various displays in the Church Buildings.

7:00pm to 7:30pm
Celebration in the Sanctuary – Musical Programme of Thanksgiving and Praise.

7:30pm to 8:30pm
Gallery Walk and Tea/Coffee in the Lower Hall.

Saturday, September 10, 2016
10:00am to 5:00pm
People visit the Sanctuary to view the themed displays.

12:00pm to 1:00pm Sandwiches offered

Tea/coffee and cookies available throughout the day in the Lower Hall.

Sunday, September 11, 2016
10:30am to 2:00pm
Sunday Worship – A Harvest Thanksgiving & Reception Service
Followed by a potluck lunch.
Final viewing of displays.

3:00pm to 5:00pm
Clearing up of the displays and packing up fruit and vegetables.
