Well over 80 teachers and spouses attended a delicious luncheon at the Westwood Inn on Friday, September 18, 2015.

The late John Kastrukoff headed the provincial task force in the late 1980’s and provided encouragement to the original 13 charter members who organized the local chapter.

Bernice Nowak, original charter member of the Swan Valley Retired Teachers, recounted the origins of the local chapter with its inception on September 13th, 1990.




The organization has continued to represent the needs and concerns of the local teachers at the provincial level over the last 25 years. Our celebration included greetings from the mayor, provincial representatives and an open mic for those who wished to share memories.
