Another fundraiser has come and gone and this one was the best yet.
Beautiful weather, a fantastic group of volunteers and the support of our community made my day.

As chair of the fundraising committee, I was panicking right up until the last moment when the cars started to arrive. Then there was no time to panic. Everything just fell into place.
Thank you so much to the wonderful people at Co-op for making the event possible (Don Declercq, Brad Chambers, Carma Mason, Bill Danyluk, Devon Rucks and Richard Nimetz). These wonderful people arranged for all the food, set up for the event, cooked the food and even cleaned up.
Thank you to grad parents, Candace and Kevin Mattson for being on hand to help deliver pre-ordered lunches and keep the prep line running smoothly.
And of course volunteers from this year’s graduating class came out to make sure all went smoothly.
Thank you to Erik Cowan, Emma Harris, Adam Provencher, Danika Shaw, Lashay Slack, Devin Sterma, Justin Therens, Chandler Waddell and Tawny Wozniuk for working the event. More thank yous go out to our amazing cheering section – Morganne Jones, Brooke Mosiondz, Halle Schneider and McKenzie Schure who stood on the sidewalk with signs and enthusiastically waved cars into the Co-op for lunch. These amazing people worked tirelessly for the duration of the event and it was an incredible success.
Each year the Co-op sponsors this fundraiser for our graduates and according to Brad Chambers this was the one of the most successful fundraisers they’ve had for grads. By 1:15 pm we had sold out.
Last but not least the Grad Fundraising Committee thanks our community for their continued generous support. We couldn’t do this without you.
