On Sunday, April 19, 2015, a crowd of people enjoyed a delicious supper at the Cowan Community Centre hosted by the Cowan Community Ladies.

Doors opened at 4:30 pm to allow entry to the line of people that had formed outside. Cold, dreary weather was not a deterrent for these folks. At 5:00 pm the buffet table was opened with a long line forming instantly. Attendees were presented with a turkey and ham supper including a wide variety of homemade delights such as numerous salads, perogies, and cabbage rolls – just to name a few.
A wide selection of delicious homemade desserts was available upon completion of the main coarse – pies and cheesecakes (yum yum). I am certain that there was something for everyone and no one went home hungry.
Pictured left is a young volunteer helping out or is he just helping himself – that is the question.
Thank you to all who supported our supper event by attending and to those who organized, donated food and helped prepare the meal. It is good to see that community spirit is still alive in our beautiful valley.
We hope to see you again.
