1. D. Bartel – S. Windsor
WHEREAS Mayor Barkowski is absent from this evening’s meeting;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Deputy Mayor Caruk shall assume the position of Chairman and Councillor Windsor shall perform the duties of Finance Officer for this meeting.

RESOLVED THAT the Agenda be adopted as presented.
Carried.

3. S. Windsor – D. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT the Bank Reconciliation and Financial Statement for the period ending July 31st, 2014 shall be approved as presented.
Carried.

4. D. Bartel – S. Windsor
RESOLVED THAT the Animal Control Officer’s Report for the month of July, 2014 shall be accepted as presented, a copy of which is attached hereto, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT payment for contract services for Animal Control shall be made as per the aforementioned report.

5. S. Windsor – D. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT approval of payment be made for the List of Accounts numbered 6067 to 6117 inclusive, amounting to $53,674.87.
Carried.

6. D. Bartel – S. Windsor
WHEREAS the owners of the attached list of properties were sent written notice that said property was declared to be unsightly under the terms of By-Law No. 2/2007, and;
WHEREAS said property owners have failed to take action to completely remedy the condition of the properties by the deadline of August 15th, 2014;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, under the authority of By-Law No. 2/2007, the Town Public Works Employees shall be instructed to undertake the necessary work required to remedy the condition of said properties beginning on August 21st, 2014, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Chief Administrative Officer shall be authorized to bill the property owners for all costs of the aforementioned clean-up accordingly.

7. S. Windsor – D. Bartel
WHEREAS the owner of the aggressor animal involved in a recent incident has taken action to euthanize the dog;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Public Hearing regarding the fate of the dog set for August 20th, 2014 at 7:00 pm is hereby cancelled.

RESOLVED THAT the Public Works Report for the month of July, 2014 shall be accepted as submitted by the Town Foreman, a copy of which is attached hereto.
Carried.

9. S. Windsor – D. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT By-Law No. 2/2014, being a By-Law of the Town of Minitonas for the purpose of providing the naming of roads in the Town of Minitonas and affixing such names at the corner of each road, shall be read a second time this 20th day of April, 2014 A.D.

RESOLVED THAT we do now adjourn at 9:00 pm to meet again for the next regular meeting of Council to be held on the 3rd day of September, 2014 A.D. at 7:00 pm.
