The support crew for the Hillsview hike were up early Easter morning Monday (maybe running on energy from all those chocolate eggs?) A tasty pancake breakfast was ready as hikers gathered up.

The hike took its first steps at 9:00 am Gord Lincoln, on trumpet, played “Onward Christian soldiers”. Gord kept up with the hike and played beautiful pieces that lightened hiker’s steps.
For the third annual hike the new route wound its way out of Bowsman along 366 PTH travelling east past running ditches and streams, flying geese, horses playfully enjoying new energy and freedom that spring brings. A collie even walked 6kms and another dog kept his master on the trail.
Hikers picked up a brisk southeast wind as they reached the Craigsford corner and turned south.
But a little wind is just part of being outdoors and did not discourage hikers.
Campbell’s offered their yard for a picnic. Lunch was enjoyed and the second half of the hike wound its way a corner, a couple of hills and in time into Minitonas.
At the Hydro Station corner of #10 Highway some Minitonas Early and Middle Years students joined the Hike. Their boundless energy gave a great boost and the end of the route seemed to come quickly.
A wrap-up celebration (with food) was a time of sharing the journey stories.
What a great day!
Thanks for the part you play.
