During the noon hour on August 6, 2013, Swan River Fire, Swan Valley EMS, and RCMP were called to attend to smoke coming from the overhang of a commercial business in the 600 block of Main Street in Swan River.

Swan River Fire opened the corner of the outcropping and extinguished the fire. There was a small amount of damage to the exterior of the building.

Main Street was closed and traffic diverted for a portion of the noon hour.

No injuries. No estimate of damage at this time. Cause was determined to be an electrical short.
