Swan River RCMP are investigating an assault causing bodily harm that occurred on Thursday, April 4, 2013 on Indian Birch Reserve (Wuskwi Sipihk Cree Nation), Manitoba.

Occurred (location): Indian Birch Reserve (Wuskwi Sipihk Cree Nation), Manitoba.

Swan River RCMP and the Parkland EMS were dispatched.

House party. A house full. Alcohol consumption. Physical altercation between two male adults.

Fight was quickly broke up. Males separated by other friends/family members.

A 23 year old male from Indian Birch Reserve was transported via ambulance to the Swan River hospital. He received a few stitches, and was kept overnight for observation.

A 33 year old male from Indian Birch Reserve was also transported to the Swan River hospital. He was treated for a broken arm, and released from hospital.

The police investigation continues.
