Pictures Submitted by: Shannon Barthelette | ValleyBiz has received reports that Mafeking experienced a flash flood on the weekend after a beaver dam let go.
The resulting flow of water carried debris along the Mafeking Creek which became jammed under the bridge and caused a flood of water and debris through town.
Equipment was brought in to clear the debris from under the bridge allowing the flood to recede.
