RCMP Checkstop Update |

The Holiday Checkstop Program begand in the Swan Valley this weekend.

RCMP reported the following statistics for the past weekend:


6 checkstops, 69 vehicles checked, 5 tickets ( speeding, open liqour x2 and two others)

This high-visibility campaign focuses on the detection of high-risk drivers, which includes drivers who are impaired, not wearing seatbelts, speeding, or using hand-held devices.

All detachments and traffic units in “D” Division will be taking part in the campaign through extra Checkstops and patrols around the province.
