A Regular Meeting of Council of the Village of Benito was called to order at 7:00 pm on Tuesday October 9, 2012 in the Village Council Chambers. Present – Deputy Mayor Scouten; Councilor Offenberger; Councilor Zebinski; Councilor Schneider

Deputy Mayor Scouten called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

RESOLVED that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held on September25, 2012 be adopted as presented.

RESOLVED that the agenda for the Regular meeting held on October 9, 2012 be adopted as amended.
Carried.

RESOLVED that accounts numbered 24286 to 24345 in the amount totaling $52,040.47 be ratified as paid.
Carried.

WHEREAS all groups that are not directly controlled by the Municipality and are using Municipal facilities are required to provide proof of liability insurance coverage for events and/or functions held on municipal property;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Benito adopt the “Outside User Policy and Application for use of Municipal Facilities- Parts 1 and 2” form as provided by Western Financial Group Insurance Solutions; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that municipal personnel will ensure completion of the Outside User Policy; Application for Use of Municipal Facilities” form as per procedures as stated, and as per copies of application and policy and procedure as attached hereto as Schedule “A”.

WHEREAS the Village of Benito has received a request for access to the sewage disposal site for a prescribed fee;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that access be granted with conditions for a prescribed fee as set out in “Schedule “A” attached hereto.

RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 252(2) of the Municipal Act, the following outstanding invoices and utility accounts be added to the respective Property Tax Roll:

RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council shall sit as a Board of Revision for the 2013 Assessment Rolls for the Village of Benito on Tuesday October 23, 2012 in the Council Chamber at the municipal office; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all members of council shall be appointed as members of the Board of Revision, that Mayor Meadows be appointed as Chairman and CAO Pat Ellingson shall be appointed as Recording Secretary to hear appeals to the real property and personal property assessment rolls for the year 2013.

RESOLVED that the tender from “Signs by Audrey” for signs for tire disposal be accepted as per Schedule “A” affixed hereto.
