Dr. Corbett along with 2 other scientists from the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg have deployed to the town of Isiro in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The team is scheduled to be in the region for 3 weeks to help contain the ebola outbreak that has already killed as many as 36 people. The group will use a mobile “lab-in-a-box” to confirm ebola cases.
