The Swan Valley Co-op in cooperation with the Manitoba Liquor Control Commission held a “Wine & Cheese Spectacular” on Friday, June 9th.

The food floor of the Swan Valley Co-op hosted a group of nine wine companies offering over 40 different varieties of wine. There was a wine to suit every palette!

The Swan Valley Co-op offered up all sorts of delicious nibbles. Ranging from a casual cook-out to that extra-special occasion, there were foods to satisfy every craving. Fresh fruit platters, pickled veggies, Balderson cheeses, sushi, smoked meats, cheesecakes and more were enjoyed by the crowd of more than 150 people.

One lucky wine connoisseur, Charlene Fothergill, was the winner of a table top wine cooler. In honour of the International Year of the Cooperative, all proceeds from the evening were donated to the Co-operative Development Foundation of Canada.
