Male Wanted for Manslaughter Arrested in Swan River

RCMP Media Release | On October 6, 2025, at 1:10 pm, Swan River RCMP attended a residence on 2nd Ave S after a report that 41-year-old Tyrone Guiboche, who possessed an outstanding warrant of arrest for manslaughter and breaching conditions, was hiding at the residence.


Officers arrived and spoke to the homeowner who gave consent to police to search her residence.

Guiboche was located in the back room of the residence, along with another male. As officers were attempting to arrest him, he broke free and fled out the back door. A short foot pursuit ensued, and police were forced to deploy their Conducted Energy Weapon (taser) to get him to comply. While officers were arresting him, he continued to fight while being placed in handcuffs and in the process, two officers sustained minor injuries.

Guiboche has pending charges for Manslaughter and fail to attend court. He was also charged with the following:

Assault on police officer x2
Resist/obstruct peace officer x2
