On Sunday August 24, 2025 the Museum welcomed adults and children alike with free admission to our beautiful grounds and a perfect day filled with things to see and do.
In addition to regular displays on display in the main building and pioneer village, the day also included live demonstrations of heritage skills and machines.
The bakers served up fresh baked bread from the clay oven, while ice cream was on offer in the McKay General Store. Free hot dogs and drinks were served up all afternoon in the Gulash building along with a variety of games for the youngsters in the “Kid’s Zone”.
New this year was the miniature grain farm display with working scale models of grain threshing, truck delivery to elevator and elevator loading and unloading of train cars.
Outdoors there were free rides on the horse drawn wagon and the barrel train.
To complete the day, a delicious supper was served in the hall with live musical entertain.
Many thanks to all those who came out to enjoy the afternoon, and especially to all the volunteers and supporters who make this event and this museum possible!
