The 31st Christmas Concert of the Swan Valley Community Band was once again at the facilities of the Swan Valley Regional Secondary School on
Wednesday 11 December 2024.

Under the direction of Julie Kooistra, also a former Music Director for the Swan Valley School Division and founder of this group, the Community Band entertained with a number of festive Christmas arrangements.

Joining in the celebration was the new Community Choir under the direction of Brenna Smith and Nic Stroud who are also Music Directors for the SV School Division.

An audience of 95+ enjoyed the music and Christmas treats following the performance. Complimentary comments were in the air and enjoyment was had by all!

Please consider joining our Band of 26 varied musicians. Skill is not fundamental to enrolling. The current members have had anywhere from zero to 53.5 years of a hiatus in their musical careers.
