My name is Bryden Antichow and this is my 3rd year as a member of the Minitonas 4-H Beef Club. This year I have a steer named Steiger and a continuation heifer named Jolene. I’m going to share with you what the club has been up to this year so far. The first meeting was held on Oct. 9th where we met our new head leaders, Jarrett and Tracy Mosiondz. We have about 20 members in the club this year.

Weigh day was held on Nov. 11th at the Swan Valley Vet Clinic. There was 16 steers and 8 heifers weighed. The average weight of the steers was 810 lbs. The different breeds included Simmental, Red Angus, BlackAngus and Charolais. Thank you to Dr. Keith Immerkar for volunteering his time and letting us use the Vet clinic.

Our next meeting will be held in December.
