On March 18, 2024 The Board of Trustees of the Swan Valley School Division unanimously passed a resolution to reconfigure:


Heyes School as a Grade 3-4-5 school and
Taylor School as a K-1-2 school

The plan will begin with finalizing staffing and establishing the renovation schedule. The move will take place in one operation with students attending their respective schools for September of 2024.

The board thanks everyone for the consultations involving teachers, support staff, parents and community. The driving force behind this decision is to provide all K-5 students in Swan River with an adequate learning space.
