WHEREAS the Municipality of Swan Valley West provided ratepayers with an option to “attend” council meetings via teleconferencing during the lockdowns mandated by the Province of Manitoba;
AND WHEREAS that option has been available to ratepayers following the mandates being lifted;
AND WHEREAS the participation by ratepayers has declined to near zero in recent months;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the municipality will no longer be providing this option in response to the decline in participation that does not justify the significant costs for the service.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Municipality of Swan Valley West affirm support of the aforementioned request including a temporary reduction of the debt recovery amount to $0 per quarter.
