On July 16, 2022, at approximately 5:50pm, Swan River RCMP responded to a motor vehicle rollover on Highway 83, about 16 kilometres south of Benito, Manitoba.

When officers arrived, fire and ambulance were already on the scene. Initial investigation has determined that a vehicle was travelling north on Highway 83, when it went into the ditch. The driver was ejected out of the vehicle.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 35-year-old female from Cote First Nation, Saskatchewan was pronounced deceased on the way to hospital.

Swan River RCMP continue to investigate.
