The Swan Valley Truckers Freedom Convoy took place on Saturday, January 29, 2022, with 29 truckers and their supporters demonstrating the freedoms guaranteed to them under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, specifically:
– the freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication (Section 2b)
– the freedom of peaceful assembly (Section 2c)

The Swan Valley convoy was organized to show solidarity with the Freedom Convoy 2022 protesting in Ottawa against the current restrictions truckers face if they exercise their freedom to choose to not to be vaccinated against COVID-19. The Canadian Trucking Alliance estimates that roughly 85%-90% of Canadian truckers are vaccinated.
