Minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees held in the Division Office Board Room on August 23, 2021 commencing at 7:00 p.m. (unapproved)

Resolutions:
R1 K. Riehl, K. Highmoor:
THAT the Minutes of the regular meeting of June 28, 2021, be adopted.
CARRIED

R2 W. Schaffer, L. Evans:
THAT Report 7.1.5 be received, and the request to extend the term Junior Computer/Network Technician position from September 28 to December 22, 2021, be approved.
CARRIED

R3 D. Burghart, K. Riehl:
THAT as per Item 8.2, the Report on Capital Projects be received, and the payments outlined, be ratified.
CARRIED

R4 L. Evans, W. Schaffer:
THAT as per the Report of the Secretary-Treasurer, 8.3, general cheques numbering 56867 to 56953 and 2702 to 2715, transfers (bank fees) and EFT’s, which includes general and payroll in the amount of $2,773,766.97 for the month ending June 30, 2021, be approved for payment.

THAT as per the Report of the Secretary-Treasurer, 9.2.2, a request to open a new account at TD Canada Trust to facilitate the SVRSS Performing Arts Project, be approved.

R6 D. Burghart, K. Riehl: THAT the Board move to In-Camera.

R7 L. Evans, K. Highmoor: THAT the Board move out of In-Camera.

D. Burghart, K. Highmoor: THAT the Staffing Reports of the Superintendent/CEO, 7.2 and 16.2.1, be ratified.

L. Evans, K. Highmoor: THAT Reports 16.2.3 and 16.8.5, be received, and the Swan Valley School Division mandates masks be worn by staff and students in common areas within the schools and on buses. Masks are strongly recommended within classrooms when social distancing is not possible. Measures will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. The Swan Valley School Division strongly recommends all staff and eligible students be vaccinated.
