On June 17, 2021, Manitoba Public Health officials advised Ecole School of a confirmed case of COVID-19 that was in the school when communicable on June 9, June 10 and the am of June 11.

This case was not believed to be acquired at school. This information has been sent via email to Ecole School families – please check your accounts, including your junk folders.

School administration is working closely with Public Health officials and following their recommendations. No close contacts connected to the case have been identified and advised to selfisolate at Ecole. If this changes anyone who is a close contact will be notified by Public Health and or the school. If you have not been contacted by Public Health or the school you are not considered a close contact.

Please note that Swan Valley School Division is not permitted to release the name or any identifying information about the confirmed case of COVID-19 to any member of the school, community or media. Though they have since been cleaned previously, out of an abundance of caution Ecole School will be doing enhanced cleaning on the affected areas this evening. Ecole School will be open on Friday, June 18, 2021. School officials will be contacting those affected for remote learning by tomorrow.

Swan Valley School Division will continue to follow the recommendations of Public Health during this pandemic.
