Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain held Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 via Zoom.

CAO Paige Larocque was present and acted as secretary.
Finance Officer Kim Paterson was also present.

1. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by Reeve Robert Hanson, quorum being present.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby confirm the charges in the amount of $800.00;
AND THAT as per outstanding accounts receivable policy, that if such charges are not paid within 90 days it shall be added to the real property tax account [Roll #37700.000].

10.3 2021 Tax Sale

WHEREAS Section 365(2) of The Municipal Act states that Council may in any year designate the immediately preceding year or any earlier year as the year for which properties the taxes in respect of which are in arrears for the year must be offered for sale by auction to recover the tax arrears and costs;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the designated year for which properties in arrears will be offered for sale by auction be 2020, and that all properties liable therefore shall be sold for any portion of arrears of taxes outstanding at December 31, 2019;
AND THAT “costs” shall be the actual costs for each parcel listed and administration fees of $50.00 as set forth in Regulation 50/97;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the 2021 tax sale be held November 4th, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at the R.M. of Mountain Council Chambers;
AND THAT TAXervice of Swan River be authorized to conduct the 2021 Tax Sale for the Rural Municipality of Mountain.

NW 6-33-22W, NW 7-33-22W and SW 7-33-22W in Pine River, MB [Roll#133000.000, 133600.000 & 133800.000] from D. Caruk in the amount of the assessed value plus any additional costs associated with the sale;
AND THAT the sale be subject to terms and conditions as below:
Purchaser shall be responsible for all land transfer costs;
Sale will not be completed until the purchase price has been recieved;
