RESOLVED THAT Doug Wagner shall be appointed as Finance Chair for this council meeting.

RESOLVED THAT we do hereby authorize payment of the List of Accounts numbered 8560 to 8661 inclusive, amounting to $1,907,920.37.

5. L. Hutman – G. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT the Financial Statement for the month ending October 31, 2020 shall be approved as presented.
Carried.

6. S. Walmsley – L. Hutman
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman does hereby approve the Staff Expense Reports as submitted.

7. G. Bartel – D. Wagner
RESOLVED THAT the Animal Control Report for the month of October 2020 be accepted as submitted.

8. L. Hutman – S. Walmsley
RESOLVED THAT the 2020 Downtown Christmas Party is hereby cancelled, due to COVID restrictions.
Carried.

9. L. Hutman – G. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT the December 1st Council meeting is hereby cancelled.

10. S. Walmsley – D. Wagner
RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to pay for the removal of beavers as per the attached.
Carried.

11. S. Walmsley – G. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman hereby supports and approves the application for the Bowsman Fire Department through the Fire Prevention Grant;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the CAO be authorized to sign on behalf of the Municipality.

12. L. Hutman – S. Walmsley
WHEREAS Council recognizes the need to have a committee appointed to look after the former middle early years school;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the attached committee appointments shall be approved.

13. G. Bartel – D. Wagner
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman does hereby approve the assessment changes as listed by Manitoba Local Government – Swan River Assessment Office dated August 28, 2020 a copy of which are attached hereto;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the necessary changes be made to the 2020 Assessment Roll, under the authority of Sections 300(6) and 326 of The Municipal Act.

RESOLVED THAT the members of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman Council do hereby agree to go ‘In Camera’ as a Committee of the Whole in accordance with Subsection 152(3)(b)(ii) of the Municipal Act.

RESOLVED THAT we do agree to return to reopen the meeting to the public in accordance with Subsection 152(4) of the Municipal Act.

RESOLVED THAT Council is in favor of extending the Public Works temporary position with Matt Wills until January 15, 2021.

17. S. Walmsley – D. Wagner
RESOLVED THAT Council is in favor of extending the Public Works casual contract position with Ashley Beals until January 15, 2021.

18. D. Wagner – G. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman hereby accepts the attached quotation for scrap metal disposal from the Bowsman and Minitonas landfill sites.
Carried.

19. C. Densen – L. Hutman
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman does hereby grant leave of Council to Walter Kolisnyk for the three consecutive regular Council meetings not attended on September 29th, October 6th, and October 20th.
Carried.

RESOLVED THAT we do now adjourn at 8:34 p.m. to meet again on December 15, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. for the next regular meeting of Council.
