RCMP Respond To Pine Creek Vehicle-Pedestrian Fatality

On December 27, 2020, at 8:12 pm, officers from the Winnipegosis RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred on Pine Creek First Nation.


Officers attended the collision and located the victim, a 40-year-old male from Pine Creek First Nation, just off the roadway and unresponsive. The victim was pronounced deceased en route to hospital.

The investigation has determined that a vehicle, being driven by a 59-year-old male from Pine Creek First Nation, was travelling on PR 272 when it collided with the male.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and immediately called 911.

Impaired driving and speed are not a factor in this collision.

Winnipegosis RCMP along with the Criminal Collision Investigation Team and a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
