Swan Valley Co-op is pleased to announce the major renovation of its food store in Swan River, which first opened 15 years ago. The renovated facility will feature new programs and greater product selection.

“It was important for us to invest in our food business as a Co-op to ensure that we can continue to offer the best products and services to our members for years to come,” said Colin Peters, General Manager of Swan Valley Co-op. “This investment wouldn’t be possible without the strong support from our customers over the years.” The renovation project will begin in early May and is expected to be complete by late 2019.

The renovation is being completed to repair significantly worn areas in the building, replace equipment that is at the end of its useful life and complete energy efficiency upgrades.

The renovated space will feature an expanded pharmacy, fresh service meat counter, new deli programs as well as new finishes and improved product selection throughout the store. The store will remain open throughout the construction project. “The renovation process will be completed in phases and we will work with the general contractor to minimize the disruption as much as possible,” said Peters. “I’d like to thank our members for their patience and understanding as we work toward creating a bestin-class shopping experience in a safe, modern facility.”

Updates on the renovation will be shared on Swan Valley Co-op’s website and Facebook page.
