Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain held Wednesday, February 27th, 2019 in the R.M. of Mountain Council Chambers in Birch River, Manitoba.



Members Present:

CAO Paige Larocque was present and acted as secretary.
Finance Officer Kim Paterson was also present.

1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 10:15 a.m. by Reeve Robert Hanson, quorum being present.

10.11 Northern Neighbors – Community Foundation of Swan Valley Inc.

WHEREAS the Birch River Northern Neighbors group is wishing to apply for a grant through the Community Foundation of Swan Valley;
AND WHEREAS the Community Foundation of Swan Valley will only make grants to organizations to which have a charitable registration number;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Rural Municipality of Mountain, as a charitable organization, enter into a Partnership Agreement for the purposes of applying for a Community Foundation grant.
AND THAT the CAO be authorized to sign on behalf of the municipality.

AND WHEREAS several capital expenditures must take place this year in order for the continued operation of the pool;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the RM of Mountain in association with the Birch River Recreation Commission hereby apply for a grant through the Community Foundation of Swan Valley Inc.;
AND THAT the Reeve and CAO be authorized to sign on behalf of the Municipality.
