On the afternoon of March 10, 2019 and the evening of March 11, 2019 Information Meetings were held in the 2nd Floor Boardroom at the Swan Valley Health Centre to explain the Diabetes Undone Program to be held in April.
The same Program was held in Swan River last Spring (2018) and was very successful.
Diabetes Undone is an International Program that has been held across Canada and the United States for the last several years. The main presenters (via video) for the Program are Dr. Wes Youngberg, DrPH, Assistant Clinical Professor, Author and Professional Nutritionist and Brenda Davis, RD, best-selling author and Professional Dietician. Dr. Youngberg has been working with diabetics for the past 25 years. He has found that, by identifying the CAUSE of the illness rather than just treating the symptoms, type 2 diabetics can experience dramatic health improvements, avoid complications, and often reverse the condition.
Participants who attend the Program will receive 12 hours of classroom education, a workbook, a cookbook, group support and a DVD called 12 Laws of Health. In addition they have access online for 1 year, to all of the approximately 40 videos used during the Program.
Participants in the Program learn how to form new habits and make better choices based on increased knowledge and group support. The Program is designed to empower participants to optimize their nutrition, exercise, and other lifestyle choices, all of which enable them to reclaim their health. The same principles that are taught to fight diabetes also combat heart disease, obesity, cancer, autoimmune disease, and many other lifestyle-related health conditions.
“Really, it’s quite simple, the things I had to do. It wasn’t a hardship at all. Six months later, I was declared non-diabetic. I reversed it. And since then, I had extensive tests… and I’m still not diabetic or prediabetic. And that itself is the reward. —Tom Zapara, 91-year old Diabetes Undone Participa
