The meeting was well attended.

SVAPL had a very successful year with fundraising and Corporate and private sponsorship. Special thanks went out to Audrey Sercombe and Maggie Romak for their hard work and dedication to SVAPL in the past.

Deanna Chess headed up the Nominations Committee, and presented the positions available as follows: Past executive: Kelsa Unruh, Secretary; Kyla Tibbett, Treasurer; Holly Urban, Vice President; and Sherry Martin, President. Positions available for 2019: Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and President. The previous executive allowed their names to stand for election for the 2019 year. There were no further nominations from the floor and all four were elected to the same positions for the 2019 year by acclamation. Committee Chairs were also appointed as follows: Coreen Stewart – Fundraising committee; Chantal Haggerty and Holly Urban – Grant committee co-chairs. Once the AGM concluded, a short regular meeting was then held.

SVAPL looks forward to another successful year! Our first big event for 2019 will be the banquet and fundraiser, Spay It Forward, to be held at the Veterans Community Hall on April 6, 2019. Hope to see you there!
