Representatives from the Minitonas Curling Club presented a cheque in the amount of $10,431 to the Swan Valley Health Facilities Foundation to be used for long term care at the Swan Valley Lodge and Swan Valley Personal Care Home.

The donation represents the proceeds of the land and building of the Minitonas Curling Rink and Curling Club and will be used to help transform the facilities to be more engaging, particularly for residents with dementia.

“It makes me happy to know that the funds that were invested by volunteer hours into that club are now being put back into the community.” said MCC Secretary, Lynda Leslie. “The improvements will brighten up the space that we ourselves may be living in some day.”
