The Minitonas Tent Town Garden Club held another successful Fruit festival on Saturday. We especially want to thank all who attended, enjoyed a pie and coffee and purchased our produce. Also a huge thank you to Cindy Miles Designs, Dianne Rooks Books and Rinsdorf Honey for joining us with their Products.

We would not have been able to keep our gardens and pots in our town beautiful throughout the summer without the hard work of Leo and Betty McCumber, so a huge thank you to them!

Our very deserving peoples choice award recipient this year is Lyn Kublick. She has an excellent variety of roses, perennials, annuals and garden vegetables! She works hard to keep her yard tidy and she is very knowledgeable about herbs and indoor plants too. Congratulations Lyn! Thank you to Murray McClure, from Terry’s Greenhouse who generously sponsors and presents the plaque for this event each year.

We had a lovely variety of jams, jellies, baking, flower arrangements and garden produce.

We thank all who purchased tickets on our chance auction. The proceeds from our day are the funds we use to buy our annual plants each year for our pots and gardens. Thank you to The Community Store, the Emporium, the credit Union, Louisiana Pacific and many of our members who donated baskets, door prizes and produce that all contributed to the success of our day!

There was a wonderful selection of pie to add to coffee or juice. Again, thank you to all who attended, and especially to the executive who worked hard to organize our festival. Our day wouldn’t happen without each of the members finding a place to contribute so thank you all.
