Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain held Wednesday, July 25th, 2018 in the R.M. of Mountain Council Chambers in Birch River, Manitoba.

The meeting was called to order at 10:05 A.M. by Deputy Reeve Connie Forbes, quorum being present.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Agenda for the July 25th, 2018 Regular Meeting of Council be adopted as presented.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby adopt the Tax Sale Agreements Policy as per Schedule ‘A’ attached hereto.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby approve the Tax Sale Agreement for Payment of Taxes, Roll #73300.000, as recommended by TAXervice, terms attached hereto as Schedule ‘A’;
AND THAT the Reeve and CAO be authorized to sign on behalf of the Municipality.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby approve the Tax Class Change from Class 40 Exempt to Class 60 Taxable for Roll Number 300795.000 as of January 1st, 2019.

WHEREAS Fire Department Purchasing Policy states that all purchases of the Fire Department must be authorized by Council in advance;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain approve the purchase requests as per Schedule ‘A’ attached hereto.

Deputy Reeve Forbes declared an interest for Res. No. 304/18 and left the meeting.
Councillor Nadolney assumed the chair as Deputy Reeve.

RESOLVED THAT Cheque Nos. 20180812 to 20180902 be approved for payment in the amount of $143,826.65, including Council Indemnities in the amount of $1,592.31 as per By-Law 03/16 and Direct Deposit Payroll in the amount of $5,248.99, as attached hereto as Schedule ‘A’.

AND THAT wages and terms of employment be as stated in Schedule ‘A’ attached hereto.

AND THAT expenses be allowed for same.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby approve the private Application for License to Construct Water Control Works on the SW & NE 22-32-22W.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Rural Municipality of Mountain hereby accept the offer to purchase the SE 4-35-23W [Roll #250800.000] near Pine River, MB from Lawrence Chernyk in the amount of $13,500.00, plus legal and administration costs;
Subject to the following Conditions:
Receipt of the purchase price, paid in full;
Any other costs associated with the sale and transfer of land be paid by the purchaser.
