Submitted by: Beverley Polon / Lorri-Ann Munro, SVCTC Coordinators | On May 31, 2018 the Swan Valley Inter-Agency, SV Community Mobilization and Swan Valley Communities That Care hosted their Annual General Meetings at the Elbert Chartrand Friendship Center. Pictured above, Jack Dyck presented a brief overview of the history of the Inter-Agency in this 25th celebration year.
Jessica Lacasse highlighted the Community Mobilization and Swan Valley Inter-Agency activities for the year.
Chelsea Cook the coordinator for the HELP Network (Harm Reduction) presented on the new initiative that began in September 2017 in the community.
Chair James Wigley showcased SVCTC’s past activities and partnerships within the Valley with a Power Point presentation. This presentation also highlighted SVCTC’s progress over the past year in continuing the Guiding Good Choices and Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) parent workshop programs to the Valley. The Life Skills Training program was delivered to all SVSD grade six students in the 2017-2018 school year. The board introduced Lorri-Ann Munro as the new Community Coordinator for the SVCTC initiative.
A great lunch was provided by the Qwik Stop to the enjoyment of all that attended.
