Manitoba 4-H and the
Minitonas 4-H Beef Club
is hosting a
Beef Up Beef Workshop

Saturday, April 28, 2018
at Anderson Cattle Co.
Swan River MB


The day will begin with presentations from industry sectors including round table discussions with members and local producers. After lunch a learning clinic will include show day preparation. Members are invited to bring their projects for some practice in preparation for the upcoming show and sale, May 26, 2018 at the Swan Valley Ag Grounds. The Beef Up Beef Workshop is open to all 4-H members and families and anyone wanting to learn more about the 4-H program or the beef industry.

10:00 am – 10:15 am Introduction of Round Table Hosts
10:15 am – 12:45 pm Topics Include-Carcass Evaluation and Data, Food Safety, Financial Literacy, Show Day Prep, Judging, Showmanship Etiquette, New Beef Series Project Books, Forages, Veterinarian, Agvocacy, Production Styles
12:45 pm – 1:30 pm Lunch
1:30 pm – 3:30 pm Clinic to Include Washing/Blowing/Clipping, Halter Breaking/Leading, How to Make a Show Stall, Showmanship, Show Day Management
