Submitted by: Ione Anderson | It was sunny but cold on the morning of Saturday April 7, 2018, but that didn’t deter the Minitonas 4-H Beef Club from cooking up some grub and serving customers at Peavey Mart with a smile. Customers purchasing lunch were entered for a draw on the BBQ provided by Peavey Mart.

The members shared information about the upcoming Show and Sale which will be held on May 26, 2018 at the Swan Valley Ag Society fair grounds. The club consist of 37 members and projects include steers, heifers and cows and calves. The show day will have classes of showmanship, grooming, judging, female, steer, breed and group glasses. The heifer show starts at 10:00 am, the steer show at 1:00 pm and the sale is at 3:00 pm. The sale is an opportunity for people to purchase locally grown beef, produced by the future generation of farmers in the valley.
