The Council of the Town of Swan River met on Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 at 7:30 pm in the Town Council Chambers with Mayor McKenzie presiding and Councillors Whyte, Moriaux, Friesen, Delaurier and Sakal present.

Five residents were present for the public hearing. The residents asked questions about the proposed project and answers were provided by Council and management. There were no objections filed during the hearing. One written objection was received prior to the hearing.
RESOLVED that By-Law No. 2/2018 being a by-law of the Town of Swan River to authorize the expenditure and borrowing of money for the installation of curb, gutter and asphalt pavement at the 300 Block of 12th Ave. S. and the 1200 and 1300 block of 3rd St. S. as a Local Improvement be read a first time.

Sergeant Hensen and Corporal Hannah answered Council’s questions about the November and December 2017 and January 2018 RCMP reports. They also advised that the Reservist application has been submitted and provided information about the Citizens on Patrol Program which is being implemented in Swan River.
