Community Foundation Announces New Spring Grant Intake

The Community Foundation of Swan Valley (CFSV) is pleased to announce a new Spring Granting Period.

The initial Spring Grant Intake is now open and applications are being accepted from organizations who did not receive a grant during the Fall 2017 granting period.

“We recognize that groups have spring and summer projects for which they are not always able to submit an application in advance, to the preceding fall granting period. This new granting period is intended to provide an opportunity for these groups to access funding when they need it.” said Henry Rasmussen, chairperson of the Granting Committee.

The CFSV is a charitable organization founded by local citizens to help people invest in building a community that is a better place to live, work and play. Since its inception in 2005, the CFSV has provided over $480,000 in funding across the Swan Valley. Projects must benefit primarily the people of the Swan Valley Community which includes the Town of Swan River and the towns and rural areas of the Municipalities of Swan Valley West, Minitonas-Bowsman and Mountain.

Grants may only be issued to Charitable organizations registered with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Groups or organizations who do not qualify may be formally sponsored by a charitable organization. For more information or to download a grant application visit the CFSV website at cfswanvalley.ca.

Deadline for applications is February 28, 2018 at 5pm.
