Amidst the busy harvest season of 2017, the Minitonas Tent Town Garden Club hosted their annual Fruit Festival on Saturday September 9, 2017.

The hall was decorated in keeping with the theme of the year
– Canada 150 –
with red and white.
There was a vast assortment of homemade pie – apple, cherry, rhubarb, lemon merangue, saskatoon – to name a few, topped off with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream to taste with a delicious cold juice or steaming coffee to quench your thirst.
Many donated prizes and baskets were sent home with lucky ticket holders. Door prizes were also drawn for from the approximately 125 tickets sold at the door.
Fresh baking and produce from local Garden Club Members was available to purchase and take home to enjoy.
Local vendors were on hand to showcase their items, Pretty Valley Honey, Barefoot Books and Essential Oils.
The afternoon was enjoyed by all who attended.
