The Community Foundation of Swan Valley (CFSV) welcomes Donna Martin as the new Executive Director.

Donna and her husband Clint were born and raised in the Swan River Valley.

They have a daughter and a son whom they raised on an acreage east of Swan River, both children are currently attending University in Winnipeg. Donna has been actively involved in various clubs and organizations over the years, including Swan River Curling Club, the local band boosters, minor hockey and figure skating club. Her experience with several different departments of the Province of Manitoba is a great addition to the Foundation. “I feel that this opportunity is an excellent way to contribute to the community while transitioning from full time employment”, said Donna commenting on her new role. The CFSV Board looks forward to working with Donna as we continue to grow and expand the activities of the foundation in the Valley.

Donna replaces Vivian Rooks who recently announced her retirement from CFSV. With much gratitude, the Community Foundation of Swan Valley would like to thank Vivian for the time she has dedicated to the CFSV.

Vivian was one of the founding board members in 2005. She served as a Director for six years guiding and promoting the growth of the foundation along with the other Board members. After her second term as a board member Vivian volunteered her time as administrator.

Her commitment to the CFSV continued as the Executive Director, with the funds steadily increasing it became essential to have someone in the role to oversee the day to day and be the contact for all current and future donors.

We wish Vivian all the happiness her family, friends and community can bring.
