Members from the three local Swan Valley Lion Clubs (which are Bowsman, Minitonas, and Swan River) met on Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Swan Valley Museum.

This meeting was about the Billy Beal Classic Ice Fishing Derby which was held on March 18, 2017 at Whitefish Lake and to start the planning for next year’s Derby.

All proceeds from the Billy Beal Classic Ice Fishing Derby goes towards the Swan Valley Lions Medical Assistance Fund. As of May 8, 2017 the MAF has paid out $226,230.16 to help 278 residents of the Swan River Valley. Administration costs after more than 20 years totals $78.41.
