A cheque in the amount of $19,226.54 was officially presented to the Swan Valley Lions Medical Assistance fund on Thursday, April 6, 2017. The funds represent the proceeds from the 2017 Billy Beal Ice Fishing Derby.

As of March 1st, 2017 the Swan Valley Lions Medical Assistance Fund has paid out $225,230.16 to help 277 residents of the Swan River Valley with only $78.41 in administration costs since it started.
