Regular Meeting of the members of Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman held in Council Chambers, in Minitonas, Manitoba this 21st day of March, 2017 A.D. at 7:00 p.m.

RESOLVED THAT Deputy Reeve Mychalchuk does hereby assume the position of Chair for this meeting in the absence of Reeve Eisner.

2. L. Hutman – S. Walmsley
RESOLVED THAT the Agenda be adopted as amended.

3. S. Walmsley – L. Hutman
RESOLVED THAT the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held on March 8th, 2017 and the minutes of the Special Meeting of Council held on March 2nd and March 13th, 2017 shall be adopted as circulated.
Carried.

4. J. Caruk – C. Densen
RESOLVED THAT Garry Bartel shall be appointed as Finance Chair for this council meeting.
Carried.

5. L. Hutman – S. Walmsley
RESOLVED THAT we do hereby authorize payment of the List of Accounts numbered 3166 to 3276 inclusive, amounting to $182,333.93.
Carried.

6. C. Densen – G. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT we do hereby accept the Swan Valley District Recreation Commission 2017 Budget as attached.
Carried.

7. S. Walmsley – J. Caruk
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman does hereby approve the Staff Expense Reports as submitted.
Carried.

8. S. Walmsley – L. Hutman
RESOLVED THAT the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman Council does hereby agree to a payment of $315.00 towards a full-page ad in the Swan Valley Tourism Guide.
Carried.

9. S. Walmsley – C. Densen
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman agrees to accept the tender for gravel submitted by Campbell’s Construction Inc. for the 2017 gravel season as per the copy attached hereto.
Carried.

10. L. Hutman – G. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT By-law No. 02/2017, being a By-law of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman for the purpose of amending By-law 4/2004, being the Village of Bowsman Zoning By-law, shall be read a second time this 21st day of March, 2017 A.D.

RESOLVED THAT the members of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman Council do hereby agree to go ‘In Camera’ as a Committee of the Whole in accordance with Subsection 152 (3)(b)(ii) of The Municipal Act.
Carried.

12. S. Walmsley – J. Caruk
RESOLVED THAT we do agree to return to reopen the meeting to the public in accordance with Subsection 152(4) of the Municipal Act.
Carried.

13. C. Densen – G. Bartel
WHEREAS Council feels it is important to provide assistance to urban residents for removal of branches and other refuse resulting from spring cleaning;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do designate May 1-5th, 2017 as Spring Cleanup Week in the town of Minitonas and village of Bowsman.

14. L. Hutman – S. Walmsley
WHEREAS Council feels it is important to ensure that the Minitonas Cemetery grounds and plots are maintained.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do designate May 5th, 2017 as Cemetery Cleanup Day at the Minitonas Cemetery.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT members of the Public Works staff will be available to assist anyone who wishes to clean up their loved ones plots.

15. C. Densen – J. Caruk
RESOLVED THAT the CAO shall be authorized to sign the attached agreement with Westman Communications Group.
Carried.

16. G. Bartel – L. Hutman
RESOLVED THAT the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman does hereby agree to place the attached “Seasonal Trackhoe Operator” ad in the Star & Times and on Valley Biz for a period of 3 weeks.
Carried.

17. G. Bartel – L. Hutman
RESOLVED THAT we do now adjourn at 11:00 p.m. to meet again on April 4th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. for the next regular meeting of council.
