Discover Toys and Manitoba Association of Women’s Shelters have teamed up to bring a little happiness to children experiencing emotional or financial hardships over the Easter holiday.


Easter Baskets for Community Kids – Manitoba is collecting donations to provide Easter Baskets to children staying in Manitoba Women’s Shelters over the Easter holiday. A $30 donation sponsors 1 child!

“100% of the donations are used to purchase items for the baskets.” said Cyndi Miles, local consultant with Discovery Toys. “I use my personal discount for Discovery Toys to purchase educational toys, books and games to fill the baskets. This way the donations go a little further and the kids will be getting quality educational toys.”

The group has currently received requests for 122 baskets for children staying in Manitoba Association of Women’s Shelters in Winnipeg, Selkirk, Winkler, Steinbach, The Pas, Thompson, Dauphin, Portage La Prairie, Brandon, and right here in Swan River.
