When Lee Cryderman passed away suddenly on January 7, 2017, it did not take long for the community to come together to support the family.
“Lee always said, ‘If anything ever happens to me, don’t worry people will help.'” said his wife Rita.

And help they did.
One week after Lee’s passing family and community members volunteered to bring in the hay off the field. Starting just after lunch on Saturday, January 14, 2017 a group of men worked together to bring in almost 400 bales.
When the work was complete, just before 5pm, everyone gathered inside for a meal that had been prepared by the ladies.
It was important to Rita that the volunteers be recognized for their help and that people know that we live in community where people will still lend a helping hand.
Volunteers were Scott & Krystle Walmsley, Stuart Walmsley, Murray & Murna Walmsley, Larry Mychalchuk, Todd Martin & Marcy Fulford, Les Emerson, Toby Cryderman, Tynan Metcalfe, Garry Clapham, Lloyd Clapham, Denise Thune and Bonnie Poss.
