It was a nice fall day that followed some unwelcomed rain the day before. So the change in weather brought a large crowd that filled the hall by the time supper was to begin.
At approximately 5:00 pm, the buffet table was opened with a long line forming instantly. This line of hungry patrons seemed to continue until almost 7:00 pm showing the large number of attendees. As the attendees eventually approached the buffet tables they were greeted with numerous salad choices, turkey, beef, perogies, cabbage rolls and much more. A wide selection of delicious homemade desserts was available upon completion of the main course – pies and cheesecakes (yum yum). I am certain that there was something for everyone and no one went home hungry.
Like all good old-fashion community suppers this was the place to be for good homemade food and good opportunities to chat with neighbors and friends.
Thank you to all who supported our supper event by attending and to those who organized, donated food and helped prepare the meal – it was a great success. It is good to see that community spirit is still alive in our beautiful valley.
